Greenwood Row

You can see exterior materials, cedar and brick, introduce this 7-unit row home project to the street level of  the Phinney Ridge neighborhood on Greenwood avenue. Each unit is comprised of three living space levels, to include a bonus basement level and a 300 square foot rooftop deck with penthouse entry.

The use of repetition in the row house exterior design produce a cohesive, tight building facade. Setback and raised front entries were meant to add a sense of division between public and private realm. Added entry awnings at each door provide shelter from weather. Choice and scale of materials as well as added windows to the north facade make for a smooth transition into the traditionally residential street of 71st.

Existing trees were taken into consideration here on main Greenwood Avenue and remained protected. To further enhance the pedestrian experience, plant areas were extended at entry and street level. This mix of plant life also provides privacy to basement level patio doors. Permanently placed planters on each rooftop provides a balance of effective privacy and exchange of light to be enjoyed.
